Brief
THE PROBLEM
The client has recently expanded their workforce. There has been a significant increase in wages and they have become aware of members inflating their timesheets. In order to understand their growing employee costs, the client requires a reliable method of recording and monitoring working hours.
THE SOLUTION
By implementing a digital clock-in system in the central office on a dedicated central device, the employers will gain an understanding of employee activities including attendance and downtime, to provide accurate timesheet records that can be financially justified.

Optimised for a tablet device, the Clocko system is designed for two users: employees (User 1) and employers (User 2). 

For User 1 it is a priority for the journey to be short and quick. With a diverse employee workforce and varying digital capabilities, we wanted to  eradicate the possibility of User 1 getting lost. This will reduce the hours spent on training, troubleshooting and minimises the chance of confusion during the introduction of these new regulations. 

As the employer, User 2 has access to admin properties. This password restricted area provides live updates of their employee's attendance, daily status and downtime. From here new team members are onboarded, the user can overwrite edits and export reports to financial software. 
Wireframes
On the home interface we designed a 2 step action to complete the task. 

The facial recognition sign-in takes the user to their profile where they are presented with buttons to log the start or end of their current session.  Once tapped, the button stays highlighted to show their progression throughout the day. The buttons are positioned so that as they highlight, there is a visual sense of completion from top to bottom.

The user is shown a confirmation of their action in a final screen before being taken back to the home screen. 

This is where their journey ends.
User 2 has the option to access the Admin portal via the button in the top right of the interface.  After confirming the passcode, the admin menu appears with team monitoring and reporting options. 
The Active Workforce feature provides a daily roadmap of team members activity according to their latest clock in. This layout provides a visual spread of the team in attendance each day. It will improve managements judgement of task assignment and be a helpful tool in busy times of the season to ensure appropriate breaks are taken to maintain productivity.  
Tapping the name of a team member loads a screen report of their daily progress.  From here time logs can be amended and full reports can be acquired.
